Our Alliance

ACACR serves Chinese Americans in cancer research (primarily basic and translational researchers) and promotes interactions and collaborations among professionals of Chinese background and/or ethnicity in cancer research through the exchange of information in education, technology, employment, and business opportunities.

The mission of the AACR (American Association of Cancer Research) is to prevent and cure cancer through research, education, communication, and collaboration. Through its programs and services, the AACR fosters research in cancer and related biomedical science; accelerates the dissemination of new research findings among scientists and others dedicated to the conquest of cancer; promotes science education and training; and advances the understanding of cancer etiology, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment throughout the world. ACACR would be a vibrant and inclusive affiliate of the AACR to serve Chinese members and beyond.  Given the fact that the majority of ACACR members are and will be active AACR members, and many of us have been actively participating in the AACR’s scientific, educational, and public cancer awareness activities individually, ACACR as a formal organization will enable its members to serve AACR’s overall mission more efficiently.

CAHON (Chinese American Hematologist and Oncologist Network) is
an organization serving CLINICIANS who are Chinese Americans

USCACA (US Chinese Anti-Cancer Association) is an organization to enhance collaboration in cancer research between US and China

Many ACACR members are also affiliated with cbis (Chinese Biological Investigators Society) and scba
(Society of Chinese Bioscientists in America).
